The Latest on Isaac

*Hurricane Isaac made landfall yesterday evening around 7pm CDT as a category 1 hurricane with 80 mph winds.  Then, Isaac wobbles offshore once again. The storm is nearly stationary and continues to pummel the Gulf coastline.

The weather here at home will be lovely!  It's going to be filled with sunshine along with low humidity.  There will be a fall-like feel to the air as high temperatures hang in the middle to upper 70s.

Thursday and Friday will include a short 2-day warm-up.  Highs will be in the middle 80s on Thursday and in the lower 90s on Friday.

Labor Day weekend is looking fantastic!  Saturday will be a sun-filled day with highs in the lower 80s.  Winds will turn onshore on Sunday and Labor Day leaving the coastal communities on the 'cool side'.  Highs will be in the closer to 80F away from the coast but in the lower to middle 70s along the coast.  The sunshine will prevail all weekend long though! :)

We may be dealing with remnants of Isaac in the form of rain from Monday night into Tuesday of next week.

Beach and boating will be high on the 'to-do list' this weekend so make sure to check out the latest forecasts.
