The Day After...

The aftermath is astonishing! We had all of the ingredients necessary for severe weather...upper level shear, dewpoints in the upper 60s/70, sunshine to 'agitate' the atmosphere, and a lifting mechanism in the form of a cold front.  Preliminary reports show 6 tornadoes which affected 3 cities (Westfield, Springfield, Sturbridge) hit 2 different times.   Here's a link to the reports from the National Weather Service (Taunton) website.  The NWS Taunton will be out assessing damage this morning and will have confirmed reports around 12 noon or thereafter.

Thankfully, Mother Nature is offering a reprieve from severe weather today.  The sun will shine this morningn with more clouds rolling in late in the day.  Strong cold air advection will bring us cooler temps in the upper 60s to lower 70s along with gusty WNW winds.  Friday will be much like today.

This Weekend:  Quiet weather will continue on Saturday before introducing some showers on Sunday Highs will continue to hover between 70-75F this weekend.
