The D.A. Show: Seguin On His New Role In The Conference Finals

Bruins rookie Tyler Seguin joined 98.5 The Sports Hub's D.A. on Monday night to discuss his new found role on the roster after the injury to Patrice Bergeron.

"I'm definitely feeling very excited," said Seguin. "It's a tough situation to be in, I never want to be in the situation where I see one of my teammates go down, also a top player, and in the back of my mind now knowing I might see some playoff action."

The rookie said that he was not always happy watching the playoffs from the ninth floor, but that it will help his play in the long run.

"It's definitely tough watching but I know in the end it will help," he said. "I know a lot of guys that sat up there and learned a lot. I just tried to take in everything I could."

"It's a different game from watching up there," Seguin continued. "You get to see the pace of the game and you get to see it at a slowed down pace and where you can contribute. I can see how much space is actually out there and how I don't have to rush the puck all the time."

Seguin said that he cannot wait to help the team any way he can going forward in their run for a cup.

"I think (in) playoff hockey you can't be going out there afraid to make mistakes," said Seguin. "You have to go out there and play confident, compete and show passion. That's three things I really want to do."
