The Best For Last...
Today was the last day of Spring and Mother Nature saved the best for last! Summer arrives during the overnight and right on cue...heat and humidity will build in for the weekend and beyond.
With high pressure still over us, and the lack of a significant southerly wind component, the humidity is still quite low and comfortable. So, even though temps will climb a bit warmer than today the low humidity will allow for another great day.
Over the weekend, the high shifts offshore and SW winds start kicking. This means heat and humidity will be climbing through the weekend and early next week. Temps will be pushing 90 Sunday through Wednesday and high levels of humidity will give us our first extended stretch of Summer weather with a heatwave possible by the middle of next week.
With the heat and humidity comes the threat of storms but without a decent trigger the chances will be minimal. In the end, isolated afternoon and evening thunderstorms will be possible.
