The Adam Jones Show: Roy Cummings
Roy Cummings of The Tampa Tribune says that the turmoil inside the Buccaneers is overblown.
"The people that are here every day covering this team and the people on the inside, we're not seeing this controversy that everybody else wants to believe is present," Cummings said on The Adam Jones Show. "And unless all these guys are lying, well then I'm just going to have to take the belief that [Mike] Florio, [Mike] Garofalo and everybody else is wrong."
As for the talk of a quarterback change, Cummings said that can't happen.
"I think it would probably tear it apart at this point, because you've got a veteran locker room, and a bunch of guys that believe even despite their 0-2 start that they've got a shot at the postseason this year, and you suddenly put a rookie in there, you're basically saying our chances are next to nothing," Cummings said. "And I don't think there's a reason to put Josh Freeman on the bench and put Mike Glennon in there."
