The Adam Jones Show: Pete Abraham On Challenges Facing Red Sox Heading Into Postseason
Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe breaks down the biggest issues for the Red Sox heading into the postseason.
The most obvious challenge is the rust that comes with not playing for four days before the playoffs begin for Boston on Friday, and Abraham said a scrimmage on Wednesday is part of the plan to help that.
As for the challenge of facing either Tampa Bay or Cleveland, Abraham said the best option for the Red Sox may be the Rays, against whom the Red Sox went 12-7 this year. However, in terms of talent, or lack thereof, the Red Sox may want to see the Indians. They'll find out who their opponent will be after Wednesday night's play-in game.
Abraham also talked about the Game 1 starter being Jon Lester, the biggest question the Red Sox have entering the playoffs, Koji Uehara's durability, and more.
