The Adam Jones Show: Marchand's OT Winner Ends Two-Game Slide
BOSTON (CBS) - Niklas Svedberg made 33 saves in his NHL debut tonight at the TD Garden and Brad Marchand scored 54 seconds into the overtime period to help give the Boston Bruins a 3-2 win over the Nashville Predators.
The win ended a two-game slide the team was on to close out 2013, but it looks like they're back on track to right the ship in the new year.
Down 1-0 in the third, goals by Johnny Boychuk (04:55) and Jarome Iginla (12:29) put the B's up 2-1 in the latter part of the period. However, a Shea Weber slapshot evened the score and forced the overtime at 14:35.
Assisted by Patrice Bergeron and Dougie Hamilton, Marchand was able to deliver the OT heroics for his tenth goal of the season and earned himself the game's first star.
Dave Goucher and Bob Beers of the Boston Bruins Radio Network joined Adam Jones postgame to recap the win over the Predators, listen below:
