That 'Fall' Feel

The summerlike stretch of weather will be sticking around through Wednesday, but a '1-2 punch' cold front will open up the gates to our first taste of Autumn later this week.

Sunshine will prevail today with a chance of afternoon spot storms across western New England.

Watch Melissa's forecast:

Highs will be between 80-85F from Boston to the 'burbs north and west of the city...70s Cape/Islands.

A cold front creeps closer and closer to southern New England on Wednesday.

This could trigger a few showers and t-storms Wednesday afternoon and evening.

However, a second shot of cold air on Thursday looks to have better dynamics for sparking scattered showers and t-storms in the afternoon.

It's this '2nd punch' that will bring us cooler, fall-like temperatures as we end the week.

The weekend will be gorgeous with a hint of 'Fall' in the air.

Atlantic Tropical Update:

T.S. Maria is moving very slowly to the NNW @ 5 mph...maximum sustained winds @ 50mph.  We may have a High Surf Advisory starting Thursday as the storm reached its closest proximity to Southern New England.

Melissa :)
