Thanksgiving Travel Week Forecast: One Unpleasant Day
BOSTON (CBS) - No doubt about it, we have been pretty lucky this November in the weather department.
We have had just 2 days with below normal temperatures in the last two weeks and thus far we are averaging about 5 degrees above normal per day!

Then again, we were cruising right along in October as well until we got a major nor'easter which gave us our first white Halloween on record
So what will it be this Thanksgiving?
We are tracking a fairly significant storm which will come all the way from Texas late on Monday, through the Midwest on Tuesday and will affect most of the East Coast including New England on Wednesday.
Not the best news for travelers, but then again it could be a lot worse.
This storm will feature largely rain and very little snow.
In fact it will be all rain for just about all of southern New England, none of the white stuff unless you are traveling into northern New England.
Elevations above about 2,000 feet will likely see some light to moderate snow accumulation, so good news for the ski areas and good news for travelers too!
Here is the day-by-day breakdown for the holiday weekend:
Wednesday Travel:
The heaviest rain will be in the morning with some localized street flooding.
So if you are commuting to work or heading out early on Wednesday it may be slow going for a while.
The rain will become lighter by midday and afternoon and taper off completely late in the day.
Winds may be a bit of a factor for those planning on flying. They will be gusty out of the northeast early and remain gusty as they shift to the north-northwest late.
Temperatures on Wednesday will be mainly in the 40s.
The rest of the country is relatively quiet. Sunshine is forecast for all of the Midwest from Cleveland, to Chicago to Dallas to LA, no issues at all.
The only other trouble spot besides the Northeast would be the Northwest, where some heavy rain is likely for Seattle and Portland, Oregon.
Thanksgiving:
Looks like a very pleasant Turkey Day for New England.
The storm system from Wednesday will be long gone, there may be a few lingering clouds along the coastline early in the morning, otherwise mainly sunny skies will prevail.
Winds will be a bit gusty in the morning making temperatures feel a bit chillier.
Temperatures in the morning for the high school football games will be rising from the 30s to lower 40s with winds gradually slackening off a bit.
For the turkey feast in the afternoon, temperatures will be in the 40s to near 50 and wall-to-wall sunshine - pleasant conditions if you may want to walk off some of that turkey dinner.
Black Friday:
Conditions could not be better for shoppers on Friday.
Temperatures will start off chilly in the upper 20s and lower 30s around dawn for those who want to get out early.
But, under full sunshine we will warm quickly into the 50s by late morning and top off in the upper 50s during the afternoon.
Rest of the Weekend:
Yet another in a string of nice fall weekends is on tap.
Sunshine is forecast for both Saturday and Sunday and mild temperatures too. Highs will be near 60 degrees both weekend days!
