Thanksgiving Travel

It's Thanksgiving Eve!  We couldn't ask for a better Holiday week forecast here in New England.  For that matter, the entire eastern half of the U.S. will have great travel weather today.  The stormiest region will be the Pacific Northwest over the next few days.

Today, Thanksgiving Eve, will be mostly cloudy with highs near 50F.

Thanksgiving Day will be lovely for those football games, for eating your turkey feast, for taking an afternoon siesta, for taking a family walk, and for watching the Pats game in the evening!  You get my drift! It's a forecast that's sure to please the masses! Sky cover will be partly cloudy with highs in the lower 50s.

'Black' Friday will be easy going as well with sunshine and even warmer temps in the middle 50s. Shopping should be a breeze as long as you exercise some serious patience! ;)

This weekend is also going to be filled with travel for many folks.  Our next chance of a few showers will be late Friday evening and overnight Friday into Saturday morning.  This cold front will unlock the door to a cold blast.  Saturday will be breezier along with cooling temps.  There will be a mix of clouds and peeks of sun with a few spotty showers due to the 500H trough.  Sunday will be sunny, blustery, and colder as the thermometers only reach 40F as a high.

We will be watching a storm early next week...Tuesday into Wednesday.  Surprisingly, the GFSx and the EURO seem to take a *similar* approach and take the vortex of the low the Great Lakes.  That puts New England in the warm sector. So, for the time being, it appears that it will be more of a rain event as opposed to a snowy one. However, there could be a rain/snow mix for the onset of the precipitation, especially for the higher elevations.

Happy Thanksgiving Eve...

~Melissa :)
