Thanksgiving Eve Soaker

It's going to be another nice day filled with sunshine and highs in the middle 40s to  near 50F.  However, clouds will quickly fill-in as a large area of low pressure nears this evening.

Rain will develop overnight and become heavy after midnight.  The onset of precipiation this evening may mix with some snow in the higher elevations of north-central Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire.

Wednesday Travel:   The heavy periods of rain will continue through midday Wednesday.  The rain will lighten and become more scattered by late-day Wednesday. Most neighborhoods will receive 1-3" of rain with isolated amounts up to 4".  On the other hand, areas in central and northern VT, NH and Maine, like the Adirondacks of NY and the Green Mountains of Vermont, will be dealing with some heavy, wet snow.  Those areas may see 6-12" of heavy snow.  Ski resorts are ready!  Check out your favorite resort website. Many resorts are opening this weekend!

Thanksgiving Day: Clouds will be departing early in the morning as you are placing your turkey in the oven.  The remainder of the day will be sunny with highs near 50F. So, it'll be a nice day for those early morning Turkey Trots and family football games! :)

Black Friday:  Ready to shop!  There won't be any moonshine as we'll be in the the new moon phase. Early bird specials will find you wrapped in layers as morning lows will be in the 30s. However, the afternoon specials will be more 'comforting' as highs climb near 60F.

This weekend is showing a mild set-up as well with highs in the 60s.

Melissa :)
