Tewksbury man facing child porn charges
A Tewksbury man whose estranged wife once ran a day care center out of their home is facing child pornography charges.
Charles Federico has been charged with two counts of possession of child pornography and one count of distributing child pornography.
Police say the 46-year-old Federico shared child pornography with a state police detective via an online file sharing program.
Authorities say there is no evidence that Federico had any direct contact with children at the day care center.
Federico was released after his arraignment in Lowell District Court and ordered to have no contact with children under 18, and ordered not to use computers outside of work.
Federico's lawyer said his client did not know there was child pornography on his computer.
