Tests Reveal New Injury For Ellsbury
New tests conducted on the injured ribs of Red Sox Outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury have revealed a new set of fractures. It is believed that the injury occurred when Ellsbury dove for a ball against the Phillies on May 23rd. He will spend roughly two weeks at Athletes Performance Institute in Arizona for rest and rehabilitation. Ellsbury broke four ribs in a collision with third baseman Adrian Beltre on April 11 against the Royals. Ellsbury has only played in 9 games this season, and is batting .250.
