Testimony Begins In Trial For Man Charged In 2009 Murder Of JP Clerk
BOSTON (CBS) - The first full day of testimony in the trial of a Roslindale man charged with gunning down a convenience store clerk in Jamaica Plain began Monday.
Prosecutors said Edward Corliss entered the Tedeschi Food Shops in December 2009 wearing a wig, hat and scarf, demanded money from clerk, and then shot him.
In opening arguments Friday, prosecutors said Corliss was a "conniving criminal" and showed the jury surveillance video of the shooting.

Prosecutors said Corliss is the man that shot Dangol at close range during the robbery and fled in a getaway car driven by his wife.
The customer who found Dangol's body testified on Monday.
"It sounded like a gurgle for lack of a better word. It was a gasp I guess is the best way I could describe it," said the customer.
First responders also testified as well.
The defense lawyer, meanwhile, said the prosecution lacks sufficient evidence or eyewitnesses in the case.
