Temps On 'Autopilot'

Autopilot, it is.  Temperatures won't deviate far from the 50s for the next 7 days.

As we begin the holiday weekend, sunshine will dominate the weather today with highs in the 50-55 range.

An area of low pressure heading off the Carolina coast will be our subject of interest throughout the weekend forecast.

Passover begins at sundown this evening as skies will be clear and temperatures will be in the 40s.

Saturday will be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy as a 'chunk of energy'/shortwave produces a blanket of clouds throughout the day. Highs will be in the middle 50s for the interior, but with a slight northeast component to the wind for neighborhoods situated closer to the coast, we can expect temperatures to be closer to 50.

Easter Sunday a tough call due to a surface low/upper level low spiraling around New England.  Even though I do expect cloudy intervals, models do not show a lot of upper level support which leads me to believe that skies will be mostly cloudy with just a slight chance of a shower or two.

Otherwise, the weekend will mainly be dry and pleasant for your services, brunch, family gatherings, and Easter egg hunts.  Highs will be in the lower to middle 50s as surface winds are from the northwest.  The Cape and Islands will likely be cooler in the upper 40s.

The upper level low and surface low become vertically stacked early next week.  'It' will remain stuck in New England for the first half of the week which will mean 'tentacles' of moisture will produce a few showers along with mostly cloudy skies from Monday through Wednesday.

You guessed it, high temps will be in the middle 50s.

Happy 'Good' FRRRiday!

~Melissa :)
