NH Teen Reportedly Pointing Fake Gun Prompts Schools' Lockdown
MANCHESTER, N.H. (CBS) -- Several schools in Manchester, NH, were placed on lockdown Thursday morning after a 16-year-old student allegedly pointed an air soft gun out of a moving car.
A teacher recognized the Memorial High School student in the backseat of the car that was driving down the road where other students were walking and alerted a school resource officer.
Manchester School of Technology, Jewett Street School and Southside Elementary School were placed on lockdown.
Police found the student in Memorial High School and found the air soft gun a short time later in the trunk of another student's car.
The 16-year-old was taken into custody and police say charges are pending.
