Suspicious Letter Delivered To Scott Brown's Office
BOSTON (AP) — A suspicious letter has been sent to U.S. Sen. Scott Brown's Boston office.
A spokesman for Brown said the piece of mail was delivered on Monday and that staff contacted officials from the Federal Protective Service.
The envelope was removed by investigators.
The aide said Brown was not at the office at the time and he and the rest of the staff were unharmed. Brown's office is located in the John F. Kennedy Federal Building near Boston City Hall.
Police are already investigating other incidents of suspicious letters being delivered to public officials including the offices of Connecticut U.S. Sen. Joseph Lieberman, Vermont Sen. Patrick Leahy and Suffolk District Attorney Daniel Conley in Boston.
So far, none of the letters have contained a hazardous substance.
