Suspects Arrested In Alleged Armed Home Invasion In East Falmouth
EAST FALMOUTH (CBS) -- Four teens have been arrested in an alleged armed home invasion Saturday morning at a residence on Sandcastle Drive, police said in a prepared statement.
At about 6:15 a.m., the Falmouth Police Department received a report from residents at the home that three masked males, one armed with a rifle and another armed with a stun gun, had entered their home. The masked invaders stole several items including televisions and jewelry and fled in a vehicle. No injuries were reported, police said.
After a police investigation, a search warrant was executed on an Old Barnstable Road residence in East Falmouth. Stolen property, including the televisions and jewelry as well as a DVD player, phone and liquor were recovered. Also recovered were a .22 caliber rifle and a stun gun — both of which are believed to have been used during the alleged home invasion, the police said. Cash taken in the incident was not recovered.
Four suspects have been arrested in the alleged home invasion: a juvenile, age 16 of North Falmouth; Michael Fernandes, 18, of East Falmouth; and Elijah Smith, 18, of East Falmouth were charged with home invasion. Kayla Pina, 18, of East Falmouth was arrested and charged with obstruction of justice.
A fifth suspect, Nicholas Licciardi, 17, of East Falmouth is being sought on an arrest warrant for home invasion.
The investigation is ongoing and further criminal charges are expected, the police said.
