Suspected Case Of The Mumps At Walpole Public Schools
WALPOLE (CBS) - There is a suspected case of the mumps in the Walpole Public Schools.
A school employee, who is not a teacher, but does work in all eight of the town's schools is suspected to have the mumps.
Children with updated immunizations are not at risk for contracting the mumps.
About 80 workers exposed to the worker must prove they have been vaccinated or get that vaccination before they can return to work.
All students are required to have been vaccinated about mumps. There are a few students, less than a dozen, who are not vaccinated for reasons such as religion.
There are 4,100 kids in the schools system.
