Police: Revere Storage Thief Stole Up To $10,000 In Property
REVERE (CBS) - A man suspected in dozens of break-ins at a Revere storage facility was ordered to be held behind bars after his arraignment Wednesday.
Police originally arrested 40-year-old Daniel C. Stimpson on eight counts of breaking and entering, but prosecutors increased that total to 24 counts in all, including trespassing along with breaking and entering.
Stimpson was arrested Tuesday night after police released surveillance video that allegedly showed him breaking into the storage facility and stealing several big-ticket items, including TV's, guitars and tools.

Revere police said the crime spree lasted ten days in January, with the suspect hitting 79 units in all. The value of the stolen goods was between $7,000 and $10,000, but that number could rise as more victims come forward.
Stimpson was already out on bail stemming from a Boston arrest for breaking and entering. He is also suspected in scrap metal thefts from MIT.
Prosecutors said Stimpson is a heroin user.
