Survivor Recognized On 70th Anniversary Of USS Quincy Sinking
BOSTON (CBS) - Navy Veteran, Daniel Galvin read off the names of his fallen shipmates Thursday morning, as people gathered to remember the 70th anniversary of the sinking of the USS Quincy.

Nearly 400 crew members were killed when the USS Quincy CA 39 was sunk by Japanese torpedoes on August 9, 1942.
Galvin, who was only 21 years old at the time, survived.
On Thurday, he laid a wreath in memory of his fallen shipmates and also presented the city of Quincy with a photo of the ship.
