Surveillance Video Released In Fatal Hit-And-Run Case
BOSTON (CBS) -- As authorities continue to search for the people involved in a fatal hit and run in Boston last month, Boston police have released surveillance video of the vehicle they believe was involved.
24-year-old Andrew Prior of Boston was hit and killed by a grey Hyundai Santa Fe on November 14. Police believe it is either a metallic charcoal grey or silver and a model from between 2001 and 2006. The SUV has a sunroof and roof rack.
Detectives believe the SUV has significant front-end damage, which they say can be seen in the video, specifically to the front right tire and headlight. Police add there are at least two people in the vehicle.
Prior was riding a motorized scooter on Tremont Street near the Roxbury Crossing T station just before midnight when he was hit. Prior, who is originally from Syracuse, NY and a recent graduate of Northeastern University, was taken to Brigham and Women's Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Anyone with information about the vehicle or the crash is asked to get in touch with Boston police at 617-343-4470 or by calling the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1-800-494-TIPS.
