'Superheroes' Descend On Boston For Comic Con
BOSTON (CBS) – If you see people dressed as superheroes in Boston this weekend, don't be alarmed. They're here for a good reason.
Boston Comic Con started Friday at the Seaport World Trade Center. It runs until 6 p.m. Saturday.
The convention features celebrities, authors and comic books.
One woman, dressed as Maria Hill from The Avengers, said she loves the spirit of the convention.
"It's kind of become a community. You kind of just walk down the street, see somebody in a t-shirt and you say 'hi' and you are immediately friends," she told WBZ NewsRadio 1030.
Elijah Brown of Duxbury was decked out as King Odin, a father of four children. He said he enjoys living a fantasy life for a day.
"I like to come to the conventions because it gives you a chance to meet a whole bunch of other people that enjoy kind of playing a part and take some time out of your life to live another one," he told WBZ.
