Super Numbers For Patriots
BOSTON (CBS) – With their win over the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship, the New England Patriots secured their fifth Super Bowl appearance in the last 10 years.
Here are some of the numbers that go with the Patriots trip to the Super Bowl:
- It is the seventh Super Bowl appearance in franchise history, ranking third in NFL history behind Dallas and Pittsburgh's eight appearances.
- The Patriots are 3-3 in the Super Bowl.
- This will be the sixth Super Bowl since Robert Kraft purchased the team in 1994, making him the first owner to bring a team to six or more Super Bowls. Seven NFL owners have led their team to five Super Bowls, but Kraft is the first to make it to six.

- With Sunday's win, Bill Belichick and Tom Brady became the first head coach-quarterback duo to win five conference titles in the Super Bowl Era (since 1966).
- Bill Belichick is now 17-6 in the postseason, tying Hall of Fame coach Joe Gibbs for the third highest win total by any coach in NFL history. Belichick trails just Tom Landy (20 wins) and Don Shula (19).
- Brady is heading to his fifth Super Bowl, tying him with John Elway for the most all-time.

- Brady now has 16 wins in the postseason, tying him for the most all-time with his boyhood idol Joe Montana. At 16-5, his .762 win percentage is the best postseason win percentage by a starting quarterback with a minimum of 15 starts.
- Brady is now in fourth place on the all-time postseason passing list with 5,003 yards. He trails Indy's Peyton Manning by 386 yards for third place, Joe Montana by 769 yards for second, and Brett Favre by 852 for first all-time.
