Sunshine Around The Corner

Today's weather will be 'more of the same'. The clouds, fog , mist and drizzle in the morning will be followed by heavier showers late in the day as a cold front continues its slow journey eastward.  A light onshore wind will be partially responsible for the cool high temperatures in the middle 60s.

Let it shine!  Friday will begin with isome patchy morning fog, but overall, it'll be a sun-filled day. It will be a 'taste of summer' with high temperature rising into the middle and upper 70s.

Columbus Day weekend will have clouds, some sun, and showers from time to time.   On Saturday, we will start with a dry morning. Then, clouds will be increasing and few midday/afternoon showers will be possible. There will be a chance of an evening shower for Cape Cod. Highs will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Sunday will also start off dry. Then, there will be a chance of afternoon and evening rain. Some of the models show the best chance south of the Pike. We will be monitoring this wave of low pressure riding along the stalled front.  Highs will be cooler in the upper 50s.

Columbus Day will be the pick day of this extended weekend as the sun will be shining and highs will hover near 60F.

Fall foliage is at its peak across Northern New England. Central and Southern New Hampshire and Vermont will be reaching peak within the next week. Then, peak foliage is expected to occurs from Boston to points south during the last 2 weeks of October.  In other words, many of us will be heading north for the upcomign Columbus Day weekend to take in the breathtaking fall foliage!  Enjoy! Please send us pics to weather@cbsboston.com.

*Interesting tidbit...The Full 'Hunter's' Moon will occur on October 29 which means a near full moon will be in place for Halloween, October 31.

One alarm clock away...
