Summer's 'Unofficial' Last Hurrah

Labor Day weekend is here!

It's going to be another pretty day here in New England.

Watch Melissa Mack's forecast:

Highs will stay in the 70s compliments of the onshore breeze.

Humidity will remain low until tomorrow.

Labor Day Weekend:

Overall, the weekend looks more dry than rainy.

Saturday will be partly cloudy with a very slim chance of a spot storm across western New England during the afternoon and evening.

It will be muggier with highs in lower to middle 80's.  With models taking an even slower easterly approach with a cold front, most of us will remain dry until Labor Day.

That being said, Sunday will be partly cloudy to partly sunny with a chance of showers and t-storms.

The best chance will be for cities and towns north and west of Boston.

Highs will reach the 80's again.

Labor Day will provide us with the best chance of showers and tsorms, especially during the afternoon and evening as the cold front draws nearer.

Highs will return to the 80s.

Atlantic Tropical Update:

Katia remains a tropical storm...winds at 70mph and moving WNW @ 15mph.

T.D. 13 will bring torrential rain to the deep South including the northern coast of Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.  This system is nearly stationary. Some areas will receive 10-15" of rain with isolated pockets of 20".

Happy Labor Day Weekend!

Melissa :)
