Strong Wind Leaves Thousands Powerless In NH
MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - Electric company officials say high winds have damaged power lines and caused outages for more than 22,000 customers in southern and central New Hampshire.
Public Service of New Hampshire spokesman Martin Murray says crews from the Vermont border to the Seacoast are working to restore electricity.

PSNH estimated that about 18,000 customers were without power at the peak of the outages Friday night. Murray says crews were working to restore power to customers in Milford, Derry, and Windham on Saturday morning. They faced scattered outages in the southwestern part of the state.
Unitil estimated that 1,000 customers had lost power in the Seacoast area, but now says a majority of them have had it restored.
The windy weather was expected to continue throughout the day, along with scattered outages.
