Street Flooding Causes Marshfield Dad To Deliver Baby In Car
MARSHFIELD (CBS) --- A baby boy was born in his parents' car after heavy flooding prevented mom and dad from getting to the hospital in time.
Due to street flooding caused by Friday's rain storm, paramedics were delayed in reaching the home.

Marshfield Fire Firefighter Ron Allard coached the father as he delivered his son.
"At first he was a little excited, but after talking to me for a few minutes, he calmed down," Allard said.
The wife delivered the baby in the family car in their garage.
She and baby were later taken to South Shore Hospital.
Both mom and baby are said to be doing well.
"He was very good, he listened to everything I had to say and at one point he was on the cell phone and he switched to Blue Tooth in the vehicle so it would make it easier, so I could instruct the mom and also himself," Allard said.
The family's home is located in a section of town prone to flooding, officials said.
"It worked out great, he was very calm all the way through," Allard said.
