Nor'easter Drops Heavy, Wet Snow On Mass.
BOSTON (CBS/AP) — The first true nor'easter of the season is bringing snow along with strong coastal wind gusts to Massachusetts.
The snow started falling just as the evening commute began Wednesday. The storm stalled southwest of Boston and dropped heavy wet snow. Many towns had snowfall totals over 2". Foxboro had 5.2" as of 9:30pm.

The speed limit was reduced to 40mph on the Massachusetts Turnpike from the New York state line to Westborough. Many side roads were slick, causing accidents, including a chain reaction crash of six cars in Natick.

A high-wind warning is in effect for Cape Cod and neighboring islands until Wednesday night for 60 mph gusts. A wind advisory is in effect for Boston and western Massachusetts for gusts up to 50 mph. About 7,700 power outages were reported Wednesday on the South Shore and Cape Cod.
Rain is forecast by Thursday with temperatures in the upper 30s and 40s.
