Storm Delays Rescue Of NH Woman From South Pole
WELLINGTON, NEW ZEALAND (AP) -- Efforts to evacuate an ill New Hampshire woman from the South Pole have been delayed because of a storm.
Doctors suspect Renee-Nicole Douceur suffered a stroke or brain tumor. She had hoped to fly to the city of Christchurch in New Zealand. But she told The Associated Press in an email that the flight never left Saturday because of bad weather in Antarctica. She said she hoped to take a later plane and arrive in Christchurch on Monday or possibly Tuesday.

Douceur is from Seabrook, N.H., a coastal town of 9,000 residents southeast of Concord.
She's a manager for research station contractor Raytheon Polar Services Co. Doctors say a tumor may be causing her vision and speech problems.
Officials rejected her earlier evacuation request because of bad weather.
