Stoneham Man Arrested For Allegedly Driving Over 150 MPH On I-93
NEW HAMPTON, N.H. (AP) — New Hampshire police say a Massachusetts man is facing charges after allegedly driving his motorcycle faster than 150 mph on Interstate 93.
State police say a trooper in an unmarked car spotted a motorcycle accelerate quickly in front of him on I-93 in New Hampton at 1 p.m. Saturday, reaching speeds between 130 and 152 mph in a 65-mph zone while weaving in and out of traffic.
The trooper called ahead to another trooper, who ultimately stopped the motorcycle rider while he was paying a toll at the Hooksett toll plaza, about 45 miles south.
Police say 44-year-old Edson Barbosa of Stoneham, Mass., was charged with felony reckless conduct.
