Stevan Ridley Inactive For Patriots vs. Texans
BOSTON (CBS) - Stevan Ridley is inactive for the New England Patriots Sunday afternoon against the Houston Texans.
Ridley was benched last week after losing a fumble in the first quarter against the Denver Broncos. It was the third straight game he had lost a fumble, and Ridley's fourth lost fumble of the season.
The third-year back reached out to former Patriot Kevin Faulk for advice on holding onto the football earlier this week, but will not see the field on Sunday in Houston.
Running backs Shane Vereen, Brandon Bolden and LeGarette Blount will handle the load in New England's running game on Sunday.
Linebacker Steven Beauharnais and defensive lineman Jake Bequette were also ruled inactive for Sunday's game.
Cornerback Alfonzo Dennard (knee), tight end Michael Hoomanawanui (knee), right tackle Marcus Cannon (ankle) and receiver Aaron Dobson (foot) were already ruled out prior to Sunday morning.
