State Police Catch Armed Robbery Suspect In Foxboro After Chase & Crash
FOXBORO (CBS) – A man suspected in at least three armed robberies led officers on a wild chase, crashed and took off running through the woods before police managed to track him down in Foxboro on Friday.
Police had been looking for the suspect's car Friday morning when a Norfolk County Sheriff's Deputy spotted it heading southbound on I-95.
The Sheriff's Deputy alerted State Troopers, who chased that suspect until he crashed near the Mansfield-Foxboro line and took off into the woods.
He was tracked down and arrested in the backyard of a home on Grove Street in Foxboro shortly after State Police K9 and Air Wing units were called in to search.
The suspect, who has not yet been identified, is accused of holding up the Abington Liquor Store, a Tedeschi's in Brockton and a gas station in East Bridgewater.
