Stanley Cup Visits Perkins School for the Blind, Children's Hospital
WATERTOWN (CBS) – Students and teachers at the Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown got to experience the Stanley Cup first-hand Thursday afternoon.
For his day with the Cup, Bruins strength and conditioning coach John Whitesides chose to spend part of it sharing the most famous trophy in the world with the lucky students and staff.
In addition to getting their pictures taken with it, students and the staff members who are blind were allowed to experience the Stanley Cup by touch.

"I wanted to bring it to the kids, and I wanted to give them the chance to get their actual hands on it," said Whitesides. "Because when you have it in your hands and you can actually touch it, it makes all the difference in the world."
The cup also stopped at Children's Hospital in Boston. Sick kids and the parents of newborns posed with the cup.
