Stanley Cup In Town, But Bruins 'Don't Want To See It'
BOSTON (CBS) - The Stanley Cup will be in the TD Garden for Game 6 Monday night, but if the Bruins have anything to say about it, one of the most famous trophies will stay in its box until Wednesday.
"It's great that it's here. I've never played in the same building the cup has been in," said Bruins forward Milan Lucic. "Hopefully we don't get to see it tonight."
If the Cup makes its way to the TD Garden ice, it will be the Vancouver Canucks raising it above their heads. All in front of Boston fans too. That is a thought that has not entered the Bruins' minds.

"That's just the way it is," said forward Michael Ryder. "They have a chance to clinch tonight; we have a chance to push it to a Game 7. That's what we want to do. If we play our game, play the way we know we can, can push to a Game 7 and you never know what can happen then."
Bruins Don't Want To See Cup... Yet
"I don't know if we're thinking about that right now," said defenseman Daniel Paille. "It's great that it's going to be here, but it's not here for us. Our main focus is to be ready and come out with a win and try to go on to Vancouver."
"It motivates us because we want to take it there," said defenseman Andrew Ference. "It's a situation that we have to win, but it's a situation that we've faced before. This is the finals, the Cup is in the building and all that stuff, but it doesn't change the fact that we've played in Game 7's before where we had to win. We've felt like we've been in other situations and games that were just as important to win to keep our hopes alive. It's another one of those. It's not a unique game for us, because we've had to win and play well to keep our chances alive."

No one was more blunt about it than forward Shawn Thornton, who won a Stanley Cup with the Anaheim Ducks in 2007.
"I don't want to see it," he said, and ended it at that.
