Spinouts On Cape, Driver Killed In Crash
SANDWICH (CBS) – The light snow and icy roads on the Cape led to several spinouts and a fatal crash early Friday morning.
A driver was killed in a crash around 5 a.m. on Route 6 west in Sandwich between exits 1 and 2.
"The cause of the crash is under investigation however, the Bourne Barracks received numerous calls for icy roadways on Route 6 and Route 3 this morning and is being considered as a possible factor," State Police said in a statement.
"There were also numerous reports of minor car crashes and reports of cars having difficulty ascending the Bourne and Sagamore Bridges."
