Spader's Former Girlfriend: Gribble Was 'Creepy Chris' To Me
NASHUA, N.H. (AP) -- The former girlfriend of a New Hampshire man serving a life sentence for his role in the 2009 home invasion killing of a woman and maiming of her daughter says she used to call the suspect on trial now "Creepy Chris."
Jillian Baptist made the comments Thursday during the murder trial of 21-year-old Christopher Gribble.
Gribble has acknowledged his role in the killing of Kimberly Cates and the maiming of her 11-year-old daughter, Jaimie, but he's asking a jury to rule he was insane.
Baptist is the former girlfriend of Steven Spader, who was convicted in November for his role in the Mont Vernon case.
Baptist said Gribble had flirted with her, but she spurned his advances. When asked if Gribble could control himself, she said he could.
