Sox Lose Despite 5 RBIs From Beltre
[photogallerylink id=36814 align=right]John Lackey (10-6) gave up 6 earned runs in just 5.1 innings as the Red Sox fell to the Cleveland Indians 6-5 Monday night at Fenway Park. Adrian Beltre hit two home runs (19) and knocked in 5 in the loss.
Kevin Youkilis left the game after the 2nd inning with a jammed right thumb. No word yet on how serious the injury is. Youk was not the only starter in the game forced out.
Indians C Carlos Santana was carted off the field after injuring his leg during a collision at the plate with Ryan Kalish.
The Sox continue their 4 game series with Indians Tuesday night at Fenway Park. Josh Beckett will be on the mound opposite David Huff. First pitch at 7:10pm.
