Sox Fall to Rangers; Lose 3 of 4
The Red Sox lost to the Texas Rangers 4-2 Sunday afternoon at Fenway Park. Jon Lester (11-4) suffered the loss going 8 innings giving up 4 runs, 3 earned, to go along with 6 K's. C.J. Wilson (8-5) went 6.2 for the win as Texas took 3/4 of the series.
Offensively for Boston, Adrian Beltre had an RBI double which drove in Kevin Youkilis. And in a comeback effort Mike Cameron (4) hit a solo home run in the bottom of the 9th inning.
Michael Bowdoin, who was called up from AAA Pawtucket, came on in relief in the 9th and tossed a perfect inning with 2 strikeouts.
The Sox now travel west for a 10 game road trip all against the A.L. West. It begins tomorrow night out in Oakland.
