South Boston Murder Victim Beaten, Forced To Withdraw $800
BOSTON (CBS) - A woman kidnapped from South Boston and murdered on Tuesday had bruising on her face when she was forced to take out money from ATMs, according to a law enforcement source.
Amy Lord, 24, was forced into her car and driven to five different ATMs around Boston before she was stabbed to death and dumped in the woods at the Stony Brook Reservation in Hyde Park.

During that ride of horror, Lord was forced to withdraw $400 each from at least two ATMs, the source told WBZ-TV.
The bruises on Lord's face were visible in surveillance images obtained by police. A law enforcement sources tells WBZ-TV that police believe Lord was attacked in the common hallway/vestibule of the apartment building as she was leaving Tuesday morning.
Lord's Jeep is being processed at the Boston Police Department Crime Lab. On Thursday night, Boston Water and Sewer workers, along with detectives, were checking sewers in South Boston. WBZ-TV learned they are looking for evidence in connection with Lord's murder.
Police have not named any suspects.
Investigators were also looking into two other attacks in the same South Boston neighborhood on Tuesday and Wednesday. Edwin Alemany is charged in one of those attacks.
Police confirmed that Alemany has not been ruled out as a suspect in Lord's murder. They also said on Wednesday that they were not ready to say whether they thought the attacks might be connected.
Amy Lord's roommates and friends from Bentley released a statement Thursday night:
"Words cannot express how devastated we are over the loss of our Amy. Her one of a kind spunk made her an irreplaceable part of our lives. Amy's vibrant spirit will always be with us and we know her smile will always be sparkling down upon us."
