South Boston Fire Sends Two Residents, Firefighter To Area Hospitals
BOSTON (CBS) -- Two residents and a firefighter landed in the hospital Saturday night after fire broke out in a three-decker in South Boston, the Boston Fire Department reported.
Firefighters responded to 265 E St. at the corner of Bowen Street just after 9:00.
Smoke was visible from a fire on the second floor when they arrived.
Boston EMS treated two residents of the building and took one to Mass. General Hospital and the other to Brigham & Women's Hospital.
A firefighter was taken to Tufts New England Medical Center for treatment of a cut.
Three people were displaced by the fire and will be staying with family and friends. Fire investigators were on the scene of the blaze, which was put out just after 9:30.
