Sopoaga On Joining Patriots: 'Like A Dream Come True'
BOSTON (CBS) - Less than 24 hours after being traded to the New England Patriots, defensive tackle Isaac Sopoaga was with his new team in a new locker room ready to soak it all in.
He briefly spoke with the media following his first day with the Patriots, and is excited for a new opportunity.
"First things first, I would like to say aloha and Talofa, and also give thanks to our graciously heavenly Father for everything He is doing for us individually and our family. And also, thank you for the New England Patriots," said Sopoaga. "Today is my daughter's fourth birthday and I feel like yesterday was my birthday when I found out that New England called me. Basically, I am enjoying it and love it. Thank you."

It was a busy last 24 hours for the 32-year-old, who learned a new word along the way.
"You all know the meaning of the word 'hectic' right? I found out yesterday," he joked.
Sopoaga was with the Eagles when he found out about the trade, and then had to drive to New Jersey to pack up his things before heading to New England.
Another tidbit that he shared on Wednesday is that Samoans don't like to follow the rules of the road.
"Doing your own Fast and Furious thing on the highway, even though the speed limit was 50. Us Samoan people, we go double the speed limit," he said.
Sopoaga will give the Patriots some more depth on their defensive line, clogging the holes that need to be filled in the absence of Pro Bowl nose tackle Vince Wilfork.

He said he was surprised when the trade was made, but wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
"Patriots, you know, it's like a dream come true," he said. "I respect these guys the last ten years. They've won three Super Bowls. It's just an awesome feeling."
