Somerville School Locked Down During Search For Break-In Suspect
SOMERVILLE (CBS) – A Somerville school was placed in lockdown briefly Monday as police searched for a suspect in a home break-in nearby.
A city spokesperson told WBZ-TV there was a break-in around 10:30 a.m. on Derby Street.
One person was taken into custody, but a second person escaped and it was feared he may be armed.
Police evacuated part of an apartment complex on Memorial Road during the search.
They also put the Arthur Healey School into lockdown as a precaution.
The man was captured just after noon.
The suspects have been identified as 19-year-old Anthony Paulino and 22-year-old Derrick Paul.
Investigators did not believe the children were in danger, but they wanted to limit access to the school until the man was caught.
