Somerville Mayor Says City Has 'Exhausted' Supply Of Flu Vaccine
SOMERVILLE (CBS) - Somerville's mayor says his city is all out of the flu vaccine.
"We exhausted our supply on Tuesday," Mayor Joe Curtatone said during a press conference Thursday morning.
In the fall, the city received 420 doses of flu vaccine then requested and received another 300 in December.
They ran out January 8.

Curtatone says there's been a steady demand at the city's flu clinics the past couple months because the earlier than normal flu season is affecting more people this year.
On Wednesday, the Department of Public Health said 18 people have died from the flu in Massachusetts.
Boston Mayor Tom Menino took extreme steps and declared a public health emergency Wednesday.
Somerville has requested more doses from the Department of Public Health. In the meantime, local pharmacies have an ample supply.
Curtatone also noted that he got sick, despite the fact he was vaccinated.
