Shop owners say the tougher-than-ever parking is affecting business. Shoppers who choose to defy the slippery snow banks, are making the best of it.

"It took me about fifteen minutes," one woman told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Doug Cope, after wedging her Mini Cooper onto some snow and ice. "I almost thought of parking in that garage, but I said, you know what, let me take a chance."
Temporary signs have been placed in the snow banks, saying 'No Parking' overnight Friday into Saturday, indicating city crews will be at work removing some of the snow.
