Girl Scouts Add S'Mores To Cookie Lineup
BOSTON (CBS) – Move over Thin Mints, there's a new Girl Scout cookie in town.
Girl Scouts of the USA announced Wednesday – National S'mores Day – that it will soon be selling two commemorative S'mores cookie.
The Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts will have the chocolate-covered version for sale starting in 2017.
The new treat is described as a "s'mores-inspired crispy graham cookie double-dipped in a crème icing and enrobed in a chocolatey coating." The cookies are also vegan, according to the Girl Scouts.
"S'mores have strong ties to our organization's history and our ongoing camp programs," Girl Scouts CEO Patricia A. Parcellin said in a statement.
S'mores will be the eighth variety of cookie sold by the Girl Scouts.
