Smoke Condition Strands Duck Boat In Middle Of Charles River
BOSTON (CBS) - Passengers on board a duck boat were forced to abandon ship after an engine issue left the vehicle stranded in the Charles River.
A Boston Duck Tours spokesperson says it appeared that a hose came loose from the radiator, causing a smoke condition. The duck boat was evacuated as a precaution.
Cambridge Fire Department sent a boat could to help rescue the stranded passengers and transport them to a dock on the Cambridge side of the river.
The duck boat was towed from the water.
