Small Plane Crashes In Deerfield; Two People Injured
DEERFIELD (CBS/AP) -- Massachusetts state police say two people were injured when a small plane crashed in Deerfield.
Preliminary reports indicate that a person was trapped inside the aircraft.
According to the FAA, the Cessna 210 was registered out of Wilmington Delaware. There were two people on board at the time of the crash, and they were taken to Bay State Medical Center in Springfield with non-life threatening injuries.
The plane was traveling from Westfield to Bar Harbor Maine. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
The crash occurred shortly after 4:50 p.m.
Police say officers are on the scene, but additional information was not immediately available.
