Small Earthquake Reported In New Hampshire
CONCORD, N.H. (CBS) – A small earthquake hit southern New Hampshire Tuesday morning.
According to the Weston Observatory, the magnitude-1.5 quake struck two miles east, southeast of Concord after 8:30 a.m.
Justin Starr, a graduate research assistant at the observatory, told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 the quake was so small it's likely many people never even felt it.
"We thought it actually might be some kind of quarry blast, but when we talked to several quarry owners up there, the managers up there, they did not blast this morning, but they actually reported feeling this little event," Starr said.
There are no reports of any damage or injuries.
