Small Earthquake Confirmed In Rhode Island
EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (CBS) – There was a small earthquake in Rhode Island early Wednesday morning.
The U.S. Geological Survey told WBZ-TV the 2.3 magnitude quake struck at 3:43 a.m. in East Providence.

About 50 people claim they felt it.
The USGS said earthquakes this size are not unusual for the Providence area.
There are no reports of any serious damage or injuries.
A 1.5. magnitude earthquake was recorded in central New Hampshire Tuesday morning.
